I know that 1/4 inch (maybe less) of thin, powdery snow is nothing to get excited about, but I couldn't help it. It was Lucy's first snow! And the weather finally complied with my wishes! So this morning before the sun melted it all away, we went out to play.

Our neighbor called to us, "You need about a foot more of that!" and he was right. We couldn't make a snowman, or even stick enough together to throw snowballs.

We tromped around and made footprints.



And Beth tried a snow angel.


And that was about it. A whole 15 minutes later, the girls were back inside, demanding hot chocolate.


But it was still fun.
